If Mitt was Polish and actively engaged in politics at the time of the Polish Union Uprising, he would have fought it tooth and nail. Good for the Polish Unions. Mitt is a stooge.

You know I've been wondering about this and Mitt's oily praise of Lech Walesa, Poland, etc (bastion of freedom etc) and also, what Walesa was thinking endorsing Mitt, not known for his support of unionized workers (or workers period) so I'm glad to see that the unions aren't being snowed (at least in Poland.)

With some in Poland it is a Russia vs Poland nationalism involved so Walesa could be finding common ground with Mitt on that.

Sometimes nations in Europe and the rest of the world play lip service to American values but really they are looking to the USA to help them fend off their ethnic enemies and in Poland that lines up with the so called neocon agenda for confronting Russia.

PS: I did not mean to imply Poland is not pro democracy, etc but outside of some paranoid LSD trip there is zero change Russia will invade NATO member Poland in any of our lifetimes. But the rhetoric of some circles in Washington (sometimes identified as neocons though that is not really correct here) seem to want to really take down Russia. Maybe because it is fear left over from the Cold War? Maybe Russia is blocking western access to Russian resources at reasonably cheap prices? Maybe Russia still gets in America's way on the word stage in some cases? All the above?

In any case some Poles hate the Russians enough and or are paranoid enough to not mind being used by Washington for this agenda - whatever it is.
