We all know that the Republican/right wing (what’s the difference these days?) noise machine has made an art of making a Democrat’s greatest asset a weakness through political spin (Sen. John Kerry’s heroic service in Vietnam being swift boated for example).

What is funny about this is, that the right wing fools actually admit this is their strategy with their latest effort is to try and claim that because President Obama may have taken his time in a calculated way to get OBL, that this somehow is a sign of weakness. ‘President Obama’s greatest success was actually his greatest failure,’ says right wing book hack Richard Miniter.

So I guess the Republicans are now saying Osama Bin Laden got away retroactively, eh?

Also, if Obama did in fact cancel missions that means he was not a passive observer of the killing of OBL as the Republicans charge and that he was an active and engaged and - wait for it - thoughtful - president. So this very ‘fact’ undermines the right’s own anti-Obama talking point.

Here is what Obama did not do. Obama did not rush in like a drunken cowboy shooting up the place looking for OBL without vetting the intelligence and the possible outcomes of his ordered actions. In other words, Republicans are upset that Obama did not act like W. Bush and not acting like Bush Obama still got OBL and that drives them crazy (crazier)!
