Fox News Doubles Down on Lies About Ohio Law Suit
Instead of admitting they were wrong about the Obama Campaign law suit filed in Ohio, they instead double down by spinning it as an attempt to remove the special early voting treatment they’ve had since July 27th of 2011. They go so far as to restate the previous headline in slightly less inflammatory terms, but then make the lead paragraph even more inflammatory.
*Obama campaign sues Ohio over early voting law for military
In a move that puts new meaning to the term battleground, President Obama’s re-election campaign and members of some military groups are on a collision course over voting rights in the critical state of Ohio.
I noticed in the previous article a number of comments debunking the Fox News spin by explaining what the legal complaint actually says. I guess Fox News noticed it too, because they’ve closed comments to the new article.
Instead of worrying that both military and non-military have enough time by allowing them to vote up until the Monday night before the election, in their determination to vilify Obama they complain about the the removal of special treatment for members of the military. This is obviously not about the vote but about framing how Obama treats the military. This is not about any positive treatment of the military but in using them to promote Fox News propaganda as the only moral view.
What’s even worse, is that Fox has somehow convinced a number of military groups this will set a precedent affecting the ability of military personnel to vote early. Funny those groups had little to say before July 27, 2011.
