Culture Makes All the Difference (except those silly Kibbutzniks)
Romney wants you to believe that he’ll be a better BFF to Israel than our President, but less than one week after his trip home from the Holy Land, he threw Israel under the bus.
Romney Says America Is Not Like a Kibbutz
‘It’s individuals and their entrepreneurship which have driven America,’ said Romney. ‘What America is, is not a collective where we all work in a Kibbutz or we all in some little entity, instead it’s individuals pursuing their dreams and building successful enterprises which employ others and they become inspired as they see what has happened in the place they work and go off and start their own enterprises.’
The Kibbutz (communal living) started in Israel prior to it becoming a state, but has flourished throughout the years. Today, the number of Kibbutzim has diminished, but during the early years, they were mostly farms. Fishing, crops, fruits and vegetables, dairy, poultry. They were responsible for feeding Israel. They are the ones who “made the desert bloom” as they say. Without the Kibbutzniks, Israel would be nowhere today.
So, Mitt, show a little respect.
