40 years? The IOC should have honoured the victims more prominently.

40 years? The IOC should have honoured the victims more prominently.

The families of the victims requested a moment of silence at the Opening Ceremonies in London, on the 40th anniversary. The IOC refused to do so, claiming they had already honored the memory of the athletes on other occasions (I don't know if this was done at an Opening Ceremony or not).

Here's a Scary Jew Shadow for you! :)

Good for her for having the cojones to do what's proper. That said, Jacque Rogge is nothing but a coward and a Jew-hater, in the tradition of Avery Brundage, who kicked two Jewish members off the American Olympic team in 1936 for the Berlin games.

The IOC lied. It has never had a moment of silence.

They claimed they already had a memorial service of some kind, not necessarily a "moment of silence" but I'm not sure when it was held, or if they observed any kind of memorial on the 40th anniversary. I know that individual teams and athletes observed a memorial at this year's games, I do not know if any official memorial was held.

No pun intended, but Avery Brundage had a much longer track record to prove what's in his heart. However, Jacques, I think it's safe to say, is not a brave man.

Good for her. (Do we have the best gymnasts this year or what?)

re: #5 Learned Mother of Zion

To so-called "memorial service" was "held" the Wednesday before the opening ceremony, with only 100 people attending. It was given hardly any publicity at all.

He's simply kowtowing to one bloc of nations that would rather Israel didn't exist, and the rest of the world doesn't have the cojones to call him out on it.

re: #9 sffilk

That's correct. However, his kowtowing would not result in the murdering or maiming of any Jews. There are many, especially those in the UN, whose plans for peace would indeed result in mass murder of Jews. And they know it even as they present their 'peace' plans. They also know that the basis of said plans upholds the concept of Judenrein.

When a 16 year old girl has to show you how to be classy, it's time for a long moment of silent reflection on how you got to be this craven.

They didn't want to do anything to remember the Jews, because it does not fit into their narrative that Jews are still victims.

Bravo Aly.

The essence of Christianity is told us in the Garden of Eden history. The fruit that was forbidden was on the tree of knowledge. The subtext is, All the suffering you have is because you wanted to find out what was going on. You could be in the Garden of Eden if you had just kept your mouth shut and hadn't asked any questions. -- Playboy Interview, April 1993
