Can someone help me out and let me know how someone who espouses the middle class and working class blue collars being gutted from federal support like Paul Ryan can still be elected in a district composed of same?

Evidence points to social conservatives voting en mass and on top of that those white folks who are racists or ‘slightly racist’ fooled into thinking what the GOP means when they espouse cutting the budget is that ‘working whites’ won’t have their hard earned money go to pay ‘lazy shiftless minorities’ even though most of that money from the federal govt goes back to the white working middle class or poor whites.

The Mitt and Paul team will tell retired people that they will have their social security and medicare left alone because ‘they were promised it’ but those up and coming generations (they will dog whistle this to mean minorities and this is where they will racialize the politics) are not worthy of the same entitlements the current generation is getting and it will be a future of hard working whites being ripped off by the Federal govt so the Democrats can subsidize minorities.

So, yea, I am claiming Paul Ryan has been elected via racial and religious bigotry.
