One clarification: King does not speak for everyone on the right.

Not even close.

This is crazy even for Steve King. You know. I know he probably represents a very conservative district. One that won't elect a Democrat ever but you'd have to think that his constituents would get tired of his act of being a nutjob and not actually doing anything for their district. Surprised there isn't some more mild mannered conservative Republican in his district who hasn't decided to do that.

re: #2 HappyWarrior

Because Iowa lost a representative after the new census, King's district has been combined with parts of another, so he finds himself in a close fight this time around.

No, but he speaks for a lot of them. Your right wing house not only has fleas, it's infested with bedbugs and termites.

This harkens back to the Dominion Christianity he and his ilk espouse where the animals and nature were put on earth to be used by mankind as man sees fit.

So to them any attempt to protect an animal or nature is violating God's commandment. That is the only thing I can think of to explain this jerk-off's position and follow up defense / explanation.

King is trying desperately to win Congressional Asshole of the Year. He has a lot of tough competition, but his chances appear strong to win again this year.

Just an addendum to above comment by Destro:
