This would be better if Soledad could make it through an argument that doesn't turn into a word salad.

“You know, let me tell you something,” O’Brien said. “There is independent analysis that details what this is about. … And name calling to me and somehow by you repeating a number of $716 billion, that you can make that stick when [you say] that figure is being ‘stolen’ from Medicare, that’s not true. You can’t just repeat it and make it true, sir.”

Perfectly sensible statement.

I understood every word of it and had no trouble grasping her meaning.

Chuck Todd had a similar exchange during a discussion of drought relief with Gov. Terry Branstad this morning, when Branstad diverted into GOP campaign mode (on the food stamp work requirement) when the discussion turned to the Farm Bill:

"Democratic BLOG BOARDS!"

Stupid old fart Republicans.

Well they are into telling absolute lies. Then they accuse the facts of being Democratic.

Unreal.

I think both Soledad and Sununu screwed up, but I could be wrong. I can't find where Factcheck takes a look at the $716 billion Peter/Paul putative scandal the Reps are on about, and I can't find a report from the CBO where looking at pages 13 and 14 as Sununu suggests makes any kind of sense. The only report I found with the July 24 date is a report from Elmendorf, as Sununu specifies, that is all about what would happen if Obamacare was repealed as attempted by H.R. 6079 on July 11.

That report says nothing about what is being enacted but what would happen if the laws went back to what they were before Obamacare.

I found another report published in July call "Estimates for the Insurance Coverage Provisions of the Affordable Care Act Updated for the Recent Supreme Court Decision" but there is no indication it was presented by Elmendorf on July 24.

Nothing on pages 13 and 14 indicate the $716 Billion was 'looted' from Medicaid, but they do mention 6 million people will not be eligible for Medicaid because of the Supreme Courts decision to move parts of Obamacare to the States.

How the States deal with it is hardly Obama's fault.

On my way out b but I was looking at this earlier, briefly:

[Link: factcheck.org...]

Not sure if it's what you are looking for but I thought to toss it out there before I hit the commuter trail.
