Follow the Times for the latest on this developing story. Here’s what we know right now:
The raging Taylor Bridge wildfire near Cle Elum that has burned at least 60 homes and more than 28,000 acres is moving to the northeast, according to the Department of Natural Resources.
After more than a day of zero containment, DNR officials reported that 10 percent of the fire is under control Tuesday evening.
More homes, farms and ranches are in the fire’s path.
Houses burned, houses saved, lives turned upside down
Fighting the fire will be primarily from the air this afternoon because efforts on the ground are hampered by how fast the fire is moving. KING5 has video of the destroyed homes.
The fire is proving difficult to fight.
