Friday morning on Fox News’s morning show “Fox and Friends,” veteran reporter and radio host Geraldo Rivera gave voice to allegations that a “lesbian cabal” has engineered a “same sex takeover” of the Department of Homeland Security.

I don't know what was the more absurd statement. This or his linking wearing a hoodie to being in a gang.

According to Gretchen Carlson, James Hayes, an official with the New York’s Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is suing Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano alleging that he was passed over for a promotion because he is a man.

According to CNN, Hayes is not just "an official" with NY ICE: he runs the place.

So which is it?

a. Napolitano made some highly unprofessional appointments that call her fitness for office into serious question, or
b. The head of ICE in NYC is a complete whacko.

Wonderful.

Geraldo, your desperation is palpable.

Well, some gang members wear hoodies.

On the other hand, there are probably lesbians working for both ICE and DHS.

So it's hard to judge. I say, pretty equally ridiculous, but this one has the edge because of the implied conspiracy involved at a government level.

‘Colored’ Comment: Golf CEO Compounds Insults to Tiger Woods
But the situation got uglier Tuesday when Garcia and his Ryder Cup teammates were at a dinner. The emcee, Golf Channel's Steve Sands, jokingly asked Garcia if he would have Woods over for dinner during the U.S. Open. "We'll have him round every night," Garcia replied. "We will serve fried chicken." The remark was reminiscent of Fuzzy Zoeller's similar comment about Woods during ...

Duke University engineers have developed a novel method for producing clean hydrogen, which could prove essential to weaning society off of fossil fuels and their environmental implications. WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to "smear the president" with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes ...

We know how to reduce the incidence of common medical conditions but …
Obesity is on the rise-- as is the incidence of Heart Disease, Diabetes, Stroke and various forms of Cancer. And, shockingly, diseases that had in the past begun in old age are now appearing at much earlier ages. A groundbreaking scientific study showed how easily (and inexpensively) the rate of occurrence of these and other serious illness could be greatly reduced-- but this information ...

 Frank says:

I was writing all kinds of positive and negative canons and weird inverted this and retrograde that and getting as spaced-out mathematically as I could and I was going "Wait a minute (laughs), who cares about that stuff?" I had always liked rhythm and blues so here I was stuck between the slide rule and the gut bucket somewhere and I decided that I would opt for a third road someplace in between. -- From an 1972 interview to Martin Perlich.
