“He’s going to try to hand over the sovereignty of the United States to the U.N., and what is going to happen when that happens?” Lubbock County Judge Tom Head (pictured, left) asked a reporter for a local Fox News affiliate during an interview that was supposedly about county business.

“I’m thinking the worst,” he deadpanned. “Civil unrest, civil disobedience, civil war maybe. And we’re not just talking a few riots here and demonstrations, we’re talking Lexington, Concord, take up arms and get rid of the guy. Now what’s going to happen if we do that? If the public decides to do that? He’s going to send in U.N. troops.”

Gotta love someone using their public position to spread as much hate and fear as possible via blatant lies and fantasy. Must be part of the membership card for the GOP.

Judge Head was in trouble a few years ago for a flyer he put up on a courthouse bulletin board.
Judge Tom Head flyer suggests criminals support Obama

A county judge in Lubbock, Texas, is facing questions about his impartiality after he posted a flyer on his courthouse wall showing arrest photos of nine individuals wearing Obama T-shirts.

A note underneath the poster read: "Just think about this for a second: Did you ever see anyone arrested wearing a Bush T-shirt, or for you older folks, an Eisenhower?, Gerald Ford?, Ronald Reagan?"

Of the nine persons depicted in the photos, seven appear African-American and one appears Latina.

The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal reported on the controversy Friday, noting that county officials had the poster removed after it drew a large amount of attention. The paper said that the arrest photos poster was not the only offending document:

[County Commissioner Bill] McCay removed a series of printouts that began with a short narration of a person contemplating waking up, putting on an Obama T-shirt and then abusing drugs, robbing a store and hitting his wife.

Other posters critical of the Obama administration, including a political cartoon of the president playing Pied Piper to national media outlets and a fictional discussion of former Republican presidents calling Obama 'no Abraham Lincoln' hung nearby.

In an interview with the paper published Saturday, the jurist at the center of the controversy, County Judge Tom Head, defended his actions, saying "he saw nothing wrong with the poster and had not heard from anyone in the community who did," the paper reported.

"It seemed like a good thing to put on the board to try and get people talking to one another," Head told the Avalanche-Journal. "I don't consider it racist. I still don't."

Commissioner McCay told NBC affiliate KCBD, "Some of the items on the board could be controversial. This is not the place for that kind of material. This is the court house for civil and criminal justice and politics should be kept outside the courthouse and so that's why I removed it."

On Wednesday the Avalanche-Journal published a scathing criticism of Judge Head on its editorial page.

"It's one thing to keep political material and satire in your home computer for use in personal e-mails, but it's another issue for an elected official to post cartoons, photos and text on a bulletin board outside his office in a public building," the paper stated. "People entering the Lubbock County Courthouse should assume business will be handled in a fair manner, regardless of someone's skin color."

It's dangerous enough for some loser in his trailer compound on the edge of town to believe that this is even possible, quite something else for an elected official who is also a judge and a lawyer.
If Obama did try to issue a proclamation (or a fatwa or whatever it supposedly takes) to turn the US over to the UN (whatever that might involve), there could be only one result: The Secret Service would instantly restrain him, pack him off for psychiatric examination, and call up VP Biden.

The committee members were Lance Cansino (c), Gary Bennett, Jon David Bruegel, Cobe Gilliam, Jere Hart, Todd Klein, Robert Rogers, Dr Donald May, Chip Shaw, Daniel Sheppard, Chris Starcher, John Walz, Mikel Ward. Most of these are well known hard-core libertarians and at least two are John Birch Society activists. Cansino is the one who suggested the Mossad should be investigated in the first WTC bombing.

Lubbock, frankly, is a city full of insane people. You can even see it in the way they drive: Their main objective in life seems to be either blocking traffic or pretending that someone else is blocking their way. The red light cycle times are the longest in the country. I am told this is because of the average Lubbock driver's measured reaction time to light changes, more than twice the national average. With so much time needed on green cycles just to get the yahoos moving, the red cycles have to be proportionally longer.
I don't think there are a hundred people in this city who know how a four-way stop is supposed to work, but that is a different story.

Once again, we see the fruit born from the seeds of tea party inflammatory rhetoric, where in true Machiavellian form, they feel compelled to take an ideological dump on the U.S. Constitution in their quest to defeat phantom threats against their "right to bear arms" and their delusional belief that Obama desires to destroy American society as we know it.

For a fundamental tenet of tea party ideology is that elections only count when their chosen candidate is victorious, and if they cannot attain their political objectives through the democratic process, then they are well within their rights to resort to "Second Amendment remedies".

In true Republican bat cave fashion, Head is trying to back away from this:

Just spoke with County Judge Tom Head about his comments about UN Troops/Civil Unrest if President Obama is re-elected etc. We wanted to clarify his comments from his interview with Fox 34. Judge Head stated that as the Emergency Management Coordinator that plans for ALL Emergencies MUST be examined. Judge Head also told us that the question of raising taxes had nothing to do with it and he believed he was speaking "off" camera. When I asked does he really believe that Obama (if re-elected) would use the UN or other para-military groups to suspend the Constitutional rights of citizens, he said "a very low probability BUT you must always be prepared."

As a couple of commenters have noted, Lubbock is fairly close to Roswell and Head should therefore be preparing for an alien invasion too.
