As we all know, expert opinion means nothing to Republicans/right wingers so having experts say the RNC is a flop is meaningless because their expert opinion is ignored. So I figure let me see what the right wing activist base is saying about the RNC so far, and they are not happy campers.

It was dull as dishwater. But who remembers the 2008 keynotes? I had to look it up! It was shared between Fred Thompson (my choice that year—oops!) and Joe Lieberman.
I got in when Ann was already speaking. What I saw was OK but I’m not feeling passion from the convention. I’ll go back and listen/watch.

Perhaps we’re fortunate Monday was cancelled since CBS (and maybe others) had decided to skip Ann Romney for reruns.

The content of Christie’s speech was good, but the delivery was a bit muted.

Perhaps he was advised to tone it down a bit and show more ‘gravitas’ or he made the decision on his own. He can really be in your face at times, and this setting may not have been the place to be brash.

Christie definitely has aspirations for higher office, so he probably wanted to appear very statesmanlike in his first major speech before the nation.

No but it wasn’t last speech worthy either. Ann Romney should have been the last speech IMHO. Chrispy has had some excellent speeches and I had hoped for more, but he is a RINO after all. Not enough red meat.
