Ms Wolf has had an increasingly difficult time getting media attention.

Enough said.

I stopped reading at "Naomi Wolf." Most of what she purports comes up empty.

Agreed, but some of the things that are addressed here are things being stated, without mentioning her name, across the Interwebz, as 'evidence' that the case is bogus, or that Assange is being persecuted by mean ol' Sweden. I found it interesting for that reason.

Hey, maybe someday proof will come out that Naomi Wolf's mail from her kid at camp really was being opened by the Bush administration, and then I'll feel really sorry. In the meantime, I think she's a bit of a joke.

This appears to be largely based on stuff from Mark Crispin Miller.

Miller is the sort of person who, while bright, is given to overestimating just how bright he is and occasionally going into flights of fancy.

He frequently has a number of good points. He also tends to junk those up by a combination of an over active imagination and a very obnoxious dose of smug ego. He starts out good but then wades deeply into extreme stances and delusions that confirm his biases. For example, while deeply critical of Bush, he became a left wing truther.

I can say this first hand because he was one of the most annoying profs I ever had at JHU. This was shortly before he left for NYU and I was a little sophomore.

I hadn't thought of him for years, until I saw this article and checked to see if it was the same guy.
