Nice work. I really like the second one. The clouds on the first are wonderful but the solar flare is a bit too much for my preferences.

Not in anywhere near the same category as your work, I also posted some of my work today: [Link: picasaweb.google.com...]

(if you're a glutton for punishment, this album has some of my better efforts: [Link: picasaweb.google.com...] )

I also made a trade for a Rolleicord III this week. I expect to be shooting some 6x6 black & white film landscapes soon ;)

Don't sell yourself short, there are some wonderful shots. I like the vertical trees on the lake, and the old amusement park. Oh and the kid in silhouette. Nice!

I'll be posting more as I get through post processing. Thinking of a couple high end prints, but we'll see. I'd like to flesh out my gallery portfolio with some B&W. Not much in there now.

All we can do is keep at it, getting better really means getting out there. Now I ponder my next destination.

Thank you. The old amusement park images were among the first half dozen 4x5 sheets I exposed. I was amazed at how well they came out :) And John was fascinated by the Tiger that hot day at the zoo.

My next step is to get my Epson scanner working again. It can do 120 so if I can dunk and scan at home, I'll actually do a whole lot more shooting.

Have you ever done Monument Valley? After the Grand Canyon, I can just see some early morning or full moon illuminated images from there.

Not been to Monument Valley. Good suggestion.

iirc, you're somewhere in California, no?

Not sure IF, or even if, what part, but I'd love to see photos from you of The Painted Desert

I was there 30-35 years ago and moronically never took photos. And even if I had, it would have been with a cheap Brownie (or the like) camera
