So the Gaza strip has 600 millionaires out of 1.4 million people = 1 for every 2333 people. The US has 5.1 millionaire households = 1 for every 61 people.

GDP per capita of the Palestinian territories is $2,900 (2008 est.), which puts its economy in about the bottom 30% of countries in the world. World GDP (PPP) per capita is currently $10,700. The US GDP per capita is about $48,000.

Though the US has over 5 million millionaires, 48% of Americans make less than $25,000 a year. In other words, rich people don't "cancel out" poor people.

Sure, but the USA is not claiming to be an open air prison.

U.S. prison population dwarfs that of other nations

It all ends if they end the war with Israel--you realize they are trying to destroy Israel, right?

re: #4 War On Music

First of all, this is Gaza, not the West Bank, no "occupying force." Secondly, you'll have to provide some sort of evidence that these millionaires are collaborating with Israel before you start throwing those accusations out there because it sounds like the consensus is that they got their fortunes by smuggling.

7 War On Music  Thu, Sep 13, 2012 4:21:38pm

re: #6 jogiff

First: The United Nations, Human Rights Watch and many other international bodies and NGOs continues to consider Israel to be the occupying power of the Gaza Strip as Israel controls Gaza Strip's airspace, territorial waters and controls the movement of people or goods in or out of Gaza by air or sea. You make not like it and you may disagree with the terminology, but that does not change the facts on the ground.

Second: see [Link: www.aljazeera.com...]

re: #7 War On Music

First: if Hamas would stop shooting rockets into Israel and stop planning to kill Israelis, all of that would go away. You recognize that rockets are being fired into Israel, yes? You recognize that there are ongoing plots to kill Israelis, yes? How about Hamas knocking it off and governing responsibly?

Those are the facts on the ground.

Ahh, nothing like a "good" story about the Palestinians to get moonbats all lathered up...

You know you're wasting your time with this one, right?

With Warren? His only move is to say that Hamas is forced into attempted murder. Or he has to admit that there is an undeclared war between Hamas and Israel. But I'd really like to see him try to deny the rocket attacks.

He's not that dumb. I could see him trying to justify them, but but neither "War on Music" nor Destro is so stupid as to pretend the attacks aren't happening.

re: #12 Dark_Falcon

Then that would be taking option one, that they are forced to commit murder.
