How many years until 9/11 claims its last victim?

Sometimes I wonder how many lives were affected beyond the original 2,977 victims of the immediate aftermath. All their families, loved ones, friends—how many broken hearts, ruined marriages, and deaths from stress like the woman in the article? What about first responders, other workers, and area residents in NYC who may have become ill or died due to breathing in whatever toxic fumes were in the air?

Sometimes it feels like it will never end, like the bastards keep reaching out from their graves to stab us one more time...

You write so beautifully - I could feel your anger and pain in every word, and yet not once did you ever lose a dignified composure. I just want to hug you & say that we will all go through this together. Yes, go through, because even if we never do "get" through it (because it just may not be possible), at least we'll all be together.
