There is a big difference between the decades of state sponsored racism, bigotry and hate of much of the Arab world and a video made by some nut job.

Funny how that decades of state sponsored bigotry isn't on your radar- not even a mention

We aren't really surprised, of course.

We understand. We really, really do.

please prove the difference between "state sponsored racism, bigotry and hate" done by the arab word, and "state sponsored racism, bigotry and hate" within Israeli education and society.

these kids got the idea that dead arabs are a fun thing from someone.

Maybe multiple invasions and frequent rocket attacks? And the unfortunate fact Israel has never fought a war with anyone else but local Arab nations.

We call that the Magic Balance Fairy around here, equating an extreme degree of racial hate education among Arab schools and TV programming for Arab children with the occasional example with Israel and their kids. That's the difference, the sheer scale.

I can't imagine why Israelis would fear Arabs can you?

Let's see - hundreds of years of second-class citizenship aka "dhimmitude," the occasional devastating pogrom, Arab sympathy for the Nazis - Egypt and Lebanon were homes for a lot of Nazis fleeing Europe after WWII - widespread violence in the 20th century - several wars against Israel, the intifadas, terrorism directed at civilians, and rampant antisemitism in newspapers, on the TV, and genocidal speeches predating WWII - nah - nothing serious at all.

Note: I don't excuse this stuff. I think it's wrong. It's important to continue trying to reach out.

But I do understand the fear.

So - War on Music - do you? Try.

re: #2 War On Music

More bullshit.

Israeli education does not embrace racism, bigotry and hate.

Palestinian and much Arab world education does embrace those very things.

Hamas kindergarten ditty; HAMAS! HAMAS! JEWS TO THE GAS!

Common refrain- 'We'll finish what Hilter started!

Lots more, including videos. Let me know if your interested. I'd be happy to post them for you.

Okay, than how do you explain what you see and hear in this video? Its not like anyone in the video condemned the children for their remarks. At the very least it does show that anti Arab bigotry is a problem in Israel.

I'm not going to deny for one moment, that there's a lot of antisemitism among Palestinians, and I won't deny that many Palestinian children have been indoctrinated to hate Jews, nor am I going to try to justify it, but that doesn't justify this.

Researchok,

Nor does it mean what's in this video is not real.

It's real, CD, but its like that asshole pastor Terry Jones down in Florida: Its a private act by a small group of nutbars. Anti-Israel and Anti-Jewish propaganda in the Palestinian Territories is created and distributed by the government, whereas the Israeli government will condemn this video and not grant its maker any support. That's the difference: Breadth of sentiment, and sanction versus condemnation by the government.

re: #9 Dark_Falcon

Hopefully, you're right about most people in Israel feel and if the video becomes well known over there, a lot of people in Israel will condemn what the children in it said. The man who made it, appears to be an Israeli himself, but I'm not even sure if he endorses what was said in it or not, since there's no description attached to the video. However, I won't make a judgement about how he feels, until I can either contact him or watch a lot of his other videos.

A difference some of us are missing: this video was made by an Israeli and is being shown freely. The videos that show children indoctrinated by terrorists are not meant to be seen by any possible intended victim.

Political discourse in America has reached levels of douchebaggery previously only theorized about but never observed, like conversational dark matter.
