BOISE — A neo-Nazi, white supremacist gang has announced plans to hold a music festival near Boise on October 6th.
Great. Just fucking great. I really wish these asshole would get the message that they really aren’t all that welcome here in Idaho.

My husband was raised partly in Idaho, and his relatives are from Idaho.
He would agree with you.
Although--Boise? Usually they're a little farther north, where their noxious smell is harder to detect with the sparse population.

That's part of the problem. If they held it up North, turn out would probably be small. Holding in/near Boise, insures a larger population center to draw from.
Only problem is, that area of Idaho is the most liberal part of Idaho and I don't think the People there are going to be very pleased that these asshole have chosen it to hold their hate-fest and the potential for violence is high. I just hope People follow the advise of the Police and avoid the area they plan on using.
As well as educating their kids on what a bunch of hateful fuck-wads these people are.

The NAACP and others should organize as many people as possible to attend, I reckon - imagine filling up a white supremacist concert with as many black, asian, hispanic and sane white folk as possible - no protests, just quiet bemusement and a very healthy dose of smirk.

I wish. Debating on whether or not to go to counter protest if one develops.
The Cops say stay home because this is what they (hammerskins) want, But how can I Ignore it? I am so sick and tired of this shit. It is way past time to push back.

Except for the whole "paying bigots money & letting them laugh at you for doing it" aspect (You do have to pay to get into these things, no?).
Depending on the size of the venue, I think another sort of festival could/should be arranged right alongside theirs...

I'd recommend holding the counter-event at least a mile away. 'Two hostile crowds right next to each other' is a situation that can turn violent quickly. Granted it would far more likely be the Neo-Nazis starting the violence, but I'd rather no one got hurt at all.
