What many Republicans and voter ID proponents fail to understand is that "voter ID" is pretty much a trigger word for the African American community. They simply fail to realize that the civil rights struggle was initially over voting, people were murdered for trying to register black voters and that these events ARE WITHIN LIVING MEMORY OF MANY PEOPLE.

Aint no dry and dusty history lesson here folks.

Pretty much (though with the black community, it don't take much of a shove...).
