A cool $million. What outrageous sums these public sector leeches earn. Oh wait....

We can blame Bill Buckley for foisting D'Souza on the 'intellectual' world.

One million is some serious wingnut welfare.

I am not a conspiracy theorist but I kind of feel these boutique colleges serve some sort of ideological warfare for think tanks and special interest groups and use the school as cover for it.

Kind of like that movie "Thank you for smoking" about how lobby group exists to fund face science studies for the cigarette industry while claiming they are independent.

It has to be something like that.

God Is in the Basement of the Empire State Building

Dinesh D’Souza, the new president of the city’s only Evangelical college, wants to build a “Christian A-team.” But can the man who says Obama supports radical Muslims persuade students to follow him?

Each spring, the King’s College, a Christian school occupying two floors in the Empire State Building, hosts a series of lectures and debates on a single theme. This year’s theme is villainy. In a windowless basement room, Dinesh D’Souza, the college’s newly installed president, is delivering his remarks to a student camera crew, two potential donors, and about 30 undergraduates. In keeping with the college’s dress code, the students wear business suits.

“I want to talk a little bit about what I call the unique villainy of Barack Obama,” D’Souza, 50, says with a grin. “In my view, it’s the villainy of nondisclosure.” Obama campaigned as a standard liberal, D’Souza says, but actually is a vehement anti-colonialist. “For Obama, the radical Muslims are on the right side of history—that’s why he is so unnaturally solicitous toward them.”

I kind of think these Evangelical boutique schools is the America's version of Saudi madrasas. They can't be making money from the tuitions so there must be donors with agendas funding them.

Two floors of the Empire State Building...

30 students.....

$1 million....

Sounds like some kind of Ponzi scheme.

Anti-colonialist is a BAD thing?
Does Dinesh secretly wish his homeland was still part of the Raj? Oh, wait - Goa was only forcibly annexed by India (by military force, over Portugal's objections) in 1961, the year Dinesh was born. Wow - looks like he has unresolved issues over the forced decolonization of his birthplace.

Also, he has explained his recent marital issues by explaining that he was unaware it was unacceptable in Christian circles to become engaged [to his current fiance] before a divorce [from his current wife]. This was in the context of sharing a hotel room with aforementioned fiance. Wow - these heterosexuals sure do keep it fresh in the bedroom.l

This so-called college needs to be investigated.

re: #8 moderatelyradicalliberal

According to some sources, they had 400+ students.

D’Souza came under fire Tuesday when World magazine revealed that he was engaged to a 29-year-old woman while still married to his wife of 20 years. D’Souza and Denise Odie Joseph allegedly shared a hotel room at a Christian conference in September, and D’Souza introduced her as his fiancee.

But thank God that gays can't marry, because that would destroy its sanctity!

I'm trying to sum up the slightest interest in anything D'Souza does.

Nope.

Can't be bothered.

I'm still curious about the family playing Monopoly in the preview for his Obama movie though. What was that about?

(Don't care enough to actually see the movie.)

Wow, didn't see this coming - discovering that not only is D'Souza a right wing hack, but he's a douchebag too.

I wonder what the over/under is that he'll go on "Hannity" to explain this away.

Or if the right will just throw him under the bus...?

I read elsewhere that she was married, too.

Not to be crass (which means I'm about to be so), I hope that was some damn fine kitty, cuz it sure cost a lot.
