To Romney and Ryan, there's no downside because THOSE PEOPLE probably don't vote, they hold no sway whatsoever, if they do, it's with Democrats (and, generally speaking, only marginally there, too...I think Obama is one of very few who are altruistic), so for R & R, it's all good. If a few poor folks starve, well they just didn't try hard enough. Bootstraps people!

Ryan could certainly afford to make up the financial loss he caused. It might even gain him votes if he did so; but that won't happen.

The right wing once again shows why social programs should not be privatized and dependent on charity donations alone when this kind of stuff happens to a charity.

Sigh, this really fucks with my belief in humanity. Giving the soup kitchen a hard time? Their life mission is to help other people and people are giving them a hard time because Paul Ryan had an embarrassing photo-op?

Ideology trumps all for the GOP. If Jesus returned and said stuff against their ideology they would turn on him too.
