OMG: Stairway to Heaven (Climbing Towers)
Broadcast tower. 1,768 feet tall. Your job is to get to the top and do maintenance on the transmission lines & antenna. You take an elevator to 1,600 feet. Then from there it’s all climbing. Did I mention the 30-pound tool bag that’s dangling from your belt and swaying in the breeze as you climb, using the little metal bars that protrude from the tower as your only foot and handholds? Oh, and BTW, like most tower workers you “free climb”, meaning you use no safety lines because it’s easier & faster.
No way. NO. FREAKING. WAY. You’ve gotta be out of your ever loving mind. There’s not enough money in the world…I was dizzy & barely breathed through the whole video. Gahhh! Excuse me while I go find a paper bag to breathe into befo…*thud*
