But but but...ACORN!

Republicans are scum. Lie, cheat, and steal an election. Power to invade the world and wage war to spread American "democracy" to countries that have resources we want.

re: #1 Joanne (JustJay)

I'm sure there's plenty to go around on all sides. This is just stupid, stupid! I am personally offended as an American. And further offended that most get off with a wrist slap which just encourages more. The quest to the public trough where the winner and their cronies can feed is sickening.

Really? Purposely disenfranchising voters has long been a strategy of today's Republicans and their Dixiecrat ancestors.

Doofus was a congressional intern for Mike Kelly (TPGOP, PA). They won't be able to scrape him off their shoes easily.

Really. And I was referring to Lie, cheat, and steal an election. Very few politicians have or have had halos, D or R.

I read that you need the elections committee, which as a GOP majority, voted not to prosecute him. Wonder why? Scared as to how high up it would go?

There's a glaring difference at play. ACORN got in trouble for following the law and not destroying registration forms. Forms that unscrupulous contractors had filled out with obviously fake names to get money. There was zero risk of either actual fraud or voter suppression in that case. When GOP operatives destroy filled out applications like this guy did, they deny real people the opportunity to exercise their constitutional rights.

That's fine as a general statement, but stuff like this is pretty rare in the US. There is no reason to believe that this is something that is being done by anyone on the Democratic side too-- the open question is was this guy working alone and unknown on the GOP side.

Should the GOP be investigated for being a criminal organization after this and evidence of nationwide voter fraud? RICO the national GOP?

Not unless or until investigation of this guy shows he did so at the guidance or request of leadership in the GOP. Alternately, if more individuals (preferably in disparate locations) are caught doing the same thing.

To invoke and sustain RICO you have to show probability that the criminal action is cultural and endemic.

Like Nathan Spruel who has a history of this? Who was contracted by the GOP nationally? Who shares an address in VA with Karl Rove's Crossroads? Who closed up shop in FL when his operation was busted (on video) saying they were registering only GOPers and then moved on to VA under a new business name?

You mean like that?

When you fail to recognize how utterly horrid the GOP has become compared to its competition, you not only do the MBF thing but enable their horrid behavior further. Can't solve a problem if you can't recognize it.

But there is more to the story, as evidence emerges to document that it ties into a still-expanding nationwide GOP Voter Registration Fraud Scandal that the BRAD BLOG first began reporting in late September , after we’d learned that the Republican Party of Florida had turned in more than 100 allegedly fraudulent and otherwise suspect voter registration forms in Palm Beach County. The story has continued to widen ever since, to a dozen Florida counties and several other states, now including Virginia, and even to the upper-echelons of the Republican Party itself.

New Method for Producing Clean Hydrogen
Duke University engineers have developed a novel method for producing clean hydrogen, which could prove essential to weaning society off of fossil fuels and their environmental implications. Just as importantly, a byproduct of most current methods of producing hydrogen is carbon monoxide, ...

WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it.
