The problem is that it wasn't the booze that brought out that tweet, a la Mel Gibson. Coulter put out that piece of crab deliberately to generate controversy and sell books and speaking engagements. She might mock Madonna at times, but in her deliberate attempts to shock people to gain attention Ann Coulter is doing exactly the same thing that Madonna does. But unlike Madonna, she doesn't put out fun songs, just venom.

Ann Coulter: DERP! to be Truthful. (3 updings to whoever gets the reference.)

I am pretty sure sure she is real creationist however. Nothing to do with pandering.

As long as there are dark hearted, bitter, and ignorant people, there will always be a Coulter, Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, etc to provide a trough full of hate to feed at. Coulter could drop dead tomorrow and someone just as bad, if not worse would take her place.

Side note: the only thing booze did with Mel Gibson that fateful night was reduce his i hibitions to be truthful. Remember his father, Hutton Gibson, is a holocaust denier among other things.

I think she's a political opportunist. There's more $$ to be had in the conservative side (see Amazin for best selling political books). She's Sarah Palin in a little black dress.

No she's worse. Sarah Palin just plain can't explain complicated concepts, or string together a complex sentence, so she DERPs. Ann Coutler can do both such things and in her books she does at times. But at other times she presents matters simply which she has explained as complex in other contexts, which can only be ascribed to either deliberate dishonesty or a reckless indifference to the truth. So while she might discuss Richard Nixon's motives for a questionable action (Coulter goes easier on Nixon than some other right-wing writers as she thinks Nixon performed a critical nation service in keeping the House UnAmerican Activities Committee focused on Alger Hiss), the same sort of action by Jimmy Carter or Bill Clinton will be automatically ascribed by Coulter to some variation of "liberal soft-headedness". Her lack of charity towards those who disagree with her is of the same extreme level reached by Ayn Rand.

The right wing are the ones that create an environment that such an eel like Coulter can thrive in.

There Is No Such Thing Really as Professional Photographers
there's no such thing as Flickr Pro, because today, with cameras as pervasive as they are, there is no such thing really as professional photographers, when there's everything is professional photographers. Certainly there is varying levels of skills, but we didn't want to have a Flickr Pro anymore, we wanted everyone to have professional quality photos, space, and sharing." - Marissa Mayer, Yahoo ...

WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to "smear the president" with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes ...

Men Are Being Sexually Assaulted in the Military, but Nobody Is Talking About It — the Good Men Project
Our Soldiers are being raped...by our Soldiers. In the U.S. Military, annually, more men are being raped by men than women are being raped by men. I state this fact, articulating it in this manner, not to diminish what these women are enduring but to raise the level of awareness and discourse to fully include the men; they have been dropping through the ...

State Sen. Dan Patrick said Monday that officials who created the system known as CSOPE will vote to scrap thousands of lesson plans this week, effectively killing the entire system. We know how to reduce the incidence of common medical conditions but …
Obesity is on the rise-- as is the incidence of Heart Disease, Diabetes, Stroke and various forms of Cancer. And, shockingly, diseases that had in the past begun in old age are now appearing at much earlier ages. A groundbreaking scientific study showed how easily (and inexpensively) the rate of occurrence of these and other serious illness could be greatly reduced-- but this information ...

We are in the midst of the worst Washington scandal since Watergate. The reputation of the Obama White House has, among conservatives, gone from sketchy to sinister, and, among liberals, from unsatisfying to dangerous. No one likes what they're seeing. The Justice Department assault on the Associated Press and the ugly politicization of the Internal Revenue Service have left the administration's credibility deeply, ...
