My iPhone is not cooperating. Lets see if I can post this without having it go into the black hole of cyberspace.

What bothers me most is that if Romney gets away clean with outright lying, without a single repercussion, this will become di rigour for all future politicians. This isn't the "Read My Lips" bullshit pols have always done, it's outright, flat out lying. About everything.

Couple this with his being able to completely get away without a single policy position throughout the entire race, save for some bullshit Day One platitudes aimed at his base (repeal Obamacare, etc.), We The People will never again be treated to either knowing what we're voting for or any way to hold that official accountable to accomplishing what they said - because they never said.

Perhaps, long after my lifetime, some honesty would return, after America lives through decades of being America, Inc. and then Romney will forever have a place in American history for being a fucking liar. He will become a noun, a verb, and a joke.

Right now, the joke is in us. And we are fucking allowing it!

Forgive typos. I'm not editing. Pressing Post and praying.

re: #1 Joanne

Your fears are my fears. I did not write the above because Romney has policies I am against - he literally lies about his policies and changes position based on who he is talking to. I can prove this right now on YouTube with his own words.

If Romney pulls this off future candidates will treat voters with the contempt they deserve.

Outside of some minor pundits I am not seeing any mainstream journalistic challenge to Romney. The press is not a press release apparatus - it exists to also fucking fact check. But what if people start to resent being told the truth? What if we have a voting block that is so partisan they will accept lies being told to their faces as long as their side wins as if it's a sports team of Boston vs Yankees then We The People deserve EVERYTHING we have coming to us down the line.

We shall see in two weeks.

PS: I am actually doing all this via cell phone. I made a vow to not use a desk top PC other than for work (and I am trying to do more work via smart phone). It is not easy and LGF sometimes does not work well with cell phone.

Regarding typos, I have t his auto type program because I am not used to writing without a QWERT keyboard and tapping a flat screen. So the phone would insert words in my posts that were not the words I was trying to type!

re: #2 Destro

I can't say whether or not I'm against his policies because he has no consistent policy positions. What positions has he not given two 180 degree versions of?

The press is nothing but a corporate entity with the only goal being viewership. That makes me want to cry. Fox is nothing but propaganda with its stars stumping for GOP candidates.

What scares me about Romney is 1) the advisors surrounding him, 2) his mailable positions, 3) his lack of interest in anything but winning, 4) that he'd turn actual governing to the snot-nosed, Ayn Randian Ryan, and 5) both of them are ignorant, loud-mouthed, belligerent, and close to par with Asarah Palin, a laughing stock to anyone possessing two functioning brain cells. They're going to turn the world against us, and start god knows how many wars which will be funded by killing SocSec and Medicare, both of which have been explicitly stated.

They're lying to seniors who are buying it. And I guess the flaming lib in me wants to protect them even if they don't want to protect themselves. The selfishness in me wants to protect the programs ice paid into all my life as I'm getting closer to that age.

Americans deserve better.

re: #3 Joanne

hey're lying to seniors who are buying it.

What they are telling seniors is they won't change a thing about SS and medicare which all seniors love but they will give vouchers (something seniors hate) and screw over their kids and grandkids.

I don't get why the GOP thinks this message works with grandparents? Is it working? We will find out in 2 long weeks.
