In the age of Youtube and Google it is scary Romney seems not to be punished for holding views that flip flop day to day
What is scary to me is in an age of Youtube and Google, Romney seems not to be punished for holding views that flip flop day to day it seems.
This scares me no end.
That means at least almost half of the electorate is too ignorant to use the internet to investigate candidate facts for themselves or they like to be lied to or don’t care if candidate Romney is a liar as long as he wins (and they don’t care if Romney lied because Obama is black and getting him out of the WH is all that matters?).
We have a candidate in Romney who switches his positions literally on debate night and what he said before was etch-a-sketched away.
If Romney wins, and it is very possible (I am shocked the polls are this close), we will have a very destructive template for future presidential candidates of both parties who will be excused for being liars or not revealing policy details because it worked for Romney and the press and the American people allowed Romney to get away with it. I saw undecideds sit in a room on CNN or FOX News and comment on style and manners of the candidates rather than substance of candidates words or their policies and programs because they seemed not to understand such things.
In the internet age America still has low information voters? Undecided? Is the internet there for them just to get sports scores and watch funny YouTube videos of cats? To be honest this is not what I expected in the internet age. I expected the internet age to usher in uber informed voters who at the tip of their fingers can Google up obscure facts about candidate positions and fact check them live. But I don’t see that happening.
Two week till election day and we shall see……….
