I took this image at the Cleopatra exhibit. It is recovered gold from her day, from her capitol city. It appears to me to b a goldsmiths stock of raw fresh material. It looks exactly as what I would expect gold to look like that they had “refined” as best they could back then, read to use. Today we call that inquartation. Back then it was secret ritual. I have no proof of my theory but just from my expertise in gold refining-It looks good for it.
