Don't these whiners realize that Romney just did what he's always done as a vulture capitalist: he took your money and left you with nothing.

Fortunately for the rest of us, he won't be getting the chance to do that to the country.

It’s unbelievable that that they turned out more from the African-American community than in 2008. Somehow they got ‘em to vote.”

I think Obama is getting too much credit here. It took Romney/Ryan calling 47%/50% of the country lazy, welfare sucking dumbasses to do that.

As a Black American female, Skip Intro, I can attempt to provide some insight into what motivated so many Black Americans to go to the polls on yesterday: revenge. We have watched the republicans show a level of disrespect toward PBO that they have never displayed toward any American president, even President Clinton, and although we've not been very vocal about it, we've noticed it. The republicans took our silence for consent and complacency, and thought we didn't have a game plan. We did, and that plan was to drag our behinds to the polls and teach the republicans a lesson that would get their attention. The great thing about it is that they never saw it coming. See, many Black Americans are more politically savvy than most republicans think. We keep up with what goes on in government because we know that it matters a lot who is in the WH and in Congress. Romney and the republicans walked around with smug smiles on their faces while they threw race cards left and right. It never occurred to them that we were watching them closely. There's no reason for any republican to wonder "how" the president got us to show up at the polls. He didn't get us to show up at the polls, they did, and they never saw us coming.

As a Black American female,

I guess Republicans were shocked that black people voted after they went to all that effort to suppress black votes.

As a white man, I would like to thank black voters for helping push Obama over the top so he can save this country from the mess the other white people party made of it.

Amen to majii above. I'm a Black female, my insight is that it was precisely the effort to suppress our vote that drove so many of us to the polls. If our grandparents could endure lynchings and KKK death threats, we can certainly honor that struggle and claim our right as citizens and wait in line for 8 hours to vote if necessary. We've struggled for centuries, first just to be considered more than just 3/5 of a human being, then to be recognized as citizens. As the old Negro spiritual, sung during the Civil Rights Movement says, "Ain't gonna let nobody turn me around."
