Unlike the election, stupid season never ends.

Goobers like Morrison always seem to buy into the bullshit urban myths about this state.

No, we can't secede. No, we can't split into multiple states at will. And just try to keep the drug cartels out as soon as the US Border Patrol closes up shop and the US military leaves. Also, your bank account, your home equity, and all your investments will suddenly be worthless, since they're backed with American money, not Texan money.

I wish these morons would self-deport to Somalia and leave the rest of us in Texas alone.

Morrison is a racist slug with a history of this kind of crap, and is a darling of white nationalists, like at VDARE:

[Link: tfninsider.org...]

Keep in mind the main reason that Morrison wanted Straus out as Speaker of the Texas Legislature - Straus is Jewish.

Peter Morrison: Too crazy for the Texas GOP.

And that is saying something...

I spoke to a relatively sane republican a few weeks ago about Texas and secession - and it's still something very much at the forefront of Teas 'conservative' 'thought'. He told me I threw away our friendship when I burst out laughing when he stated that a part of why Texas would succeed economically, is NASA.
That is the level of thought they have got to. And clearly despite one of the basic, uncontroversial republican 'qualities' being a respect for business-like governance(that they now only pretend to do), they still haven't addressed(probably don't even believe) that the people of Texas get far, far more - many Billions(61 in 2009) - federal money than it pays out in federal taxes.

Since Rush Limbaugh has started ranting again that the only reason the GOP lost was the candidate wasn't "conservative" enough, I propose he seriously consider Mr. Morrison. Morrison holds the same values dear that Limbaugh, and the Limbaugh/Fox News wing of the GOP, do.

The same NASA that would be shut down and moved out of Texas if the state seceded? Not only would losing NASA destroy a lot of jobs in Houston, but the state would lose lots of government money.

What a fucking moron.

Pope Francis Says Atheists Who Do Good Are Redeemed, Not Just Catholics
Pope Francis rocked some religious and atheist minds today when he declared that everyone was redeemed through Jesus, including atheists. During his homily at Wednesday Mass in Rome, Francis emphasized the importance of "doing good" as a principle that unites all humanity, and a "culture of encounter" to support peace. Using scripture from the Gospel of Mark, Pope Francis explained how upset Jesus' ...

Holder: We’ve Droned 4 Americans, 3 by Accident.
In an extraordinary admission, Attorney General Eric Holder has told Congress that U.S. drone strikes since 2009 have killed four Americans -- three of whom were "not specifically targeted." For all the effort that the Obama administration has gone to in asserting that its drones only kill the people that the administration intends to kill, Holder wrote in a letter today to Sen. ...

WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to "smear the president" with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes ...

Obesity is on the rise-- as is the incidence of Heart Disease, Diabetes, Stroke and various forms of Cancer. A groundbreaking scientific study showed how easily (and inexpensively) the rate of occurrence of these and other serious illness could be greatly reduced-- but this information ...
