I have a hard time grasping how so many people would fall on the “autism spectrum” considering a large organization like the US military considers Aspergers a disqualifying disorder.

I’ll admit, I’m cynical. I’d like to know if any other country besides America has developed a industry that diagnoses socially awkward kids during the most difficult part of their lives.

I think it’s all bullshit . If you’re a prick ,that’s a manifestation of “the many faces of autism ? Really .Then everyone on the planet has got , because there’s alota shit going on , mostly initiated by pricks with power . Perhaps when the Autistic prick attains power , only then does the affliction manifest itself ? Lack of eye contact is usually a sign of LIEING not Autism . Being awkward in public results from the lack of a need to communicate, usually associated with early notions that money and power eliminates that need .In addition IMO , politicians are either good bull shit artists or they are not . When you’re standing in front of groups of people who can affect you , and you try tapdancing to cater to all and offend none , the brain goes awry and the tongue can’t obey the brain fast enough . There IS serios autism , and the cauises are yet to be discovered , but that’s not what operating in Romney or Obama .

They give out the hypothetical Asperger’s diagnosis way too easily these days. I have AS. Got diagnosed when I was 15. And there are plenty of people out there who I see that have Asperger’s traits but that doesn’t necessary mean they have Asperger’s.
