I don’t even know what that means. Was Ronald Reagan somehow genetically inferior when he was a Democrat only to become genetically superior once became a Republican? Same thing with Podhoertz’s own father even. Was he somehow genetically inferior when he was on the left but became genetically superior once he joined the right. That’s what makes this all so stupid. We choose our political ideology.

The only part of Putzhoertz’s piece that I agree with is that Ricardo Montalban was awesome. R.I.P.

Also, old out of touch Republicans really need to stop with the pop culture references; it’s cringe inducing.

Is this the way Peggy Noonan would write if she didn’t drink five Martinis while writing her columns? It’s still incoherent, but lacks the lush slushiness of a typical Noonan column.
