America only backs democratic uprisings against regimes it does not like and stands by (and helps) allied regimes crush democracy when the need arises (See crushed demonstrations in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain).

It's just news. I'm not making any political statement. I used to do that, just pop up some news that would give some events more context.

Going to be in and out in just one moment, but take a closer look at the article.

It says there were 4,000 nutcases protesting. Considering this was after Friday Prayers, this does not impress me. However, Jordan needs support badly, and immediately.

I would suggest taking the Aid we give Egypt, Israel, and Pakistan, and put it to use stabilizing the Jordanian Economy.
