Sickening.

But cops say the Halal food truck vendor was attacked because of his faith at 4:45 a.m. Sunday as he opened Masjid al-Saaliheen for morning prayer.

Knowing my city, and the hour of attack it sounds like the work of a mentally ill maybe homeless man (we let the mentally ill loose on the street since the Reagan era). There was an attack on a Mosque a few months ago with a home made molotov cocktail bomb and they found the person and he wasnot right in the head either.

Or of a hater patient & clever enough to take the time to observe the mosque for a few days and note when people come & go. The dawn prayer would be the time when it was least likely for anyone to be on the streets to witness the attack. If you're from NYC, then you know what the streets look like at that hour, especially in Queens.

Mosque attack victim warns of eye for an eye

“If I see him again, I will kill him from 20 feet away,” 57-year-old Bashir Ahmad told The Post yesterday. “I will hurt him.”

Hmm...odd that the victim would express such vastly different sentiments to two different reporters.

Ahmad said he didn’t recognize his attacker and described him as “a Russian Jew.”

Russian, okay I can see you'd describe certain ethnic groups as such.
...But how do you distinguish between Russian Jews and Russian gentiles?

You can't, unless he was wearing a kippah or something. I have to wonder why the police would be searching for a Hispanic guy if the victim, who presumably gave them the description, said he was a Russian Jew.

Additionally, the news video embedded in the NY Daily News article says "the attacker yelled anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim slurs."

Like I said, I also find it odd that two reporters would come up with completely different stories about what the victim supposedly said afterwards. The NY Daily News portrays him as forgiving, the NY Post as vengeful.

re: #3 CuriousLurker

I am not discounting what you said but my NY street sense is telling me crazy guy knifes someone.

This also proves Bloomberg's gun laws right. If the criminal had a gun the victim would be dead rather than injured.

The NYPost is a hateful racist newspaper. It may as well be edited by the KKK.

While pregnant teens are being shamed for making bad choices in the US, a new ad campaign in Britain is tackling the other side of the spectrum with an arresting image of a pregnant old woman. 4 Reasons ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ Is Secretly About Drugs
Nice, right? Anyway, here's my thesis: Raiders of the Lost Ark is not an action-adventure movie about an archaeologist who plays by his own rules and saves the day. Instead, the film is an exploration of Marion Ravenwood's crippling drug addiction. An addiction that was born from her unhealthy relationship and continued association with Indiana Jones. Is it true? Who cares. Can I prove ...

there's no such thing as Flickr Pro, because today, with cameras as pervasive as they are, there is no such thing really as professional photographers, when there's everything is professional photographers. WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to "smear the president" with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes ...
