So is that the propaganda argument for why more Palestinians are killed than Israelis? What is it now for this current flare up? Over 10 Palestinians killed for every 1 Israeli?

So you actually, actively deny this is going on?
Do you deny Hamas consistently operates from dense civilian populations, as opposed to keeping civilians who, according to their own claims, should be under their protection, safely away from their military actions?

A cease fire is meant to take place in about 35 minutes. I'll believe it when I see it. Hamas just fired 10 rocKets towards Beersheba and 6 towards Ashdod.

So it should be proportional!
You would have no issue then with Israelis lobbing dozens of rockets per week into Gaza, walking into a pizza parlor in Nuseirat with a vest bomb, or blowing up a bus in Jibaliya

good to know!!

Israel should continue to make every effort to reduce civilian casualties, both because that is the humane thing to do and because it serves their interests. But so long as Hamas continues to fire rockets from densely populated civilian areas, rather than from the many open areas outside of Gaza City, this cynical tactic--which constitutes a double war crime--will guarantee that some Palestinian women and children will be killed. And the Hamas leadership prepares for this gruesome certainty by arranging for the dead babies to be paraded in front of the international media. In one such case, the Palestinian radicals posted a video of a dead baby who turned out to have been reportedly killed in Syria by the Assad government, and in another case, they displayed the body of a baby who had been killed by a Hamas rocket that misfired, falsely claiming that it had been the victim of an Israeli rocket.

Some of the hotheads like Gilad Sharon in Israel forget the "because it serves their interests" part of this equation. Both in terms of realpolitik and in terms of the morals you want to demonstrate to your children there are many great reasons to take pains to protect civilians. Will you have allies, and are you proud to call your nation Israel if you become as insensate to murder and destruction of innocents as your opponents?

THE primary job of any gov't is to protect it's own civilians

Actually, yes it should be.

Nope, Hamas does that. But are you denying that Israel also practices collective punsihment? I hope you don't say no. The USA does it all the time as a tool against hostile regimes (See American terror bombing of Yugoslavia).

You bet I'll deny that.
Collective punishment could perhaps, in some cases, apply if they weren't so hell-bent on minimizing civilian casualties despite hamas' best efforts to the contrary.
Collective punishment could perhaps apply if they just blockaded Gaza, *Without* shipping in monstrous amounts of supplies to make sure everyone is fed and there is, well perhaps not ample medicine but certainly a hell of a lot more than in surrounding countries.

Take your MBF elsewhere, please.

Thank you for finally openly admitting that your REAL problem is not enough dead Jews.

re: #10 Destro

Why don't you ask the "brown leaders", since THEY are the ONLY ones not providing it to them? Israel is certainly going out of her way to do so, even tho' the "brown leaders" are the ones causing the emergencies.

Oh, that's right - you refuse to believe that it's the "brown leaders" who are making sure there are more "brown casualties".

Stop projecting your admitted bigotry onto others.

I am talking about the proportional use of violence. I can't kill a man on the street with a hand gun if he just punches me or throws his shoe at me.

But I see how you twist words around so you can defend the undefendable.

re: #13 Destro

"Proportional". Amazing how that's only ever used when discussing Israel. Then again, not so amazing.

use of violence.

Must be why you mentioned casualties.

I can't kill a man on the street with a hand gun if he just punches me or throws his shoe at me.

But you can if he uses a knife on you. As in "bringing a knife to a gunfight." Which is what's going on here, not your false equivalency.

But I see how you twist words around so you can defend the undefendable.

Or, rather, you accuse others of doing exactly what you/re doing.

Let's face it; you are projecting your bigotry onto those who point it out when you express it. & all as a lame attempt to dodge all the unpleasant facts that you accidentally bring up (or did you think no one would notice that you sidestepped everything I highlighted in your previous post....?).

(PS: pretending that Jews are white is but another proof of your bigotry.)

I am bringing up the fact that AMERICANS like you seem to cheer the body count or ignore it when it comes to swarthy Arabs and minimize the fact that Israel kills more Arabs than all Arab efforts combined have killed Israelis which of course downplays the victimization propoganda for the lone Middle East's nuclear super power.

re: #17 Destro

You lie. Flat out.

or ignore it when it comes to swarthy Arabs

I see you are attempting to twist out of the fact that you LIED about this, too. YOU are the only one assigning race to this - in a sad attempt to try to cover the fact that you moaned about not enough dead Jews - & changing the word "brown" to "swarthy" only shows still further that you know that you exposed yourself as the racist, & no one else.

and minimize the fact that Israel kills more Arabs than all Arab efforts combined have killed Israelis

It is not "minimization" to point out that failure does NOT equal mercy. It is not minimization to point out who's really responsible for those deaths, either - or is the Red Cross also bigoted in this regard, as you are so desperately trying to pretend anyone but YOU is? (Big Hint: they were forced to officially state that anyone who uses human shields is the one responsible for their deaths)

which of course downplays the victimization propoganda [sic]

IOW, the facts upset you.

for the lone Middle East's nuclear super power.

Oooo, yeah, mention those nukes to make Israel look scarier - conveniently forgetting that SHE's NOT the one threatening to use them to destroy entire other countries.

Now, answer us as to why Arab leaders don't provide medicine & shelters for their people, but Israel does - FOR ARABS.

WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to "smear the president" with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes ...

CSOPE Classroom Curriculum System Dies Amid Criticism
AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - A classroom curriculum system used by hundreds of Texas school districts will stop offering lesson plans after some conservative groups claimed it was promoting anti-American values. State Sen. Dan Patrick said Monday that officials who created the system known as CSOPE will vote to scrap thousands of lesson plans this week, effectively killing the entire system. CSCOPE had helped ...

We know how to reduce the incidence of common medical conditions but …
Obesity is on the rise-- as is the incidence of Heart Disease, Diabetes, Stroke and various forms of Cancer. And, shockingly, diseases that had in the past begun in old age are now appearing at much earlier ages. A groundbreaking scientific study showed how easily (and inexpensively) the rate of occurrence of these and other serious illness could be greatly reduced-- but this information ...
