Is Orly actually a dentist/realtor/lawyer/nirther queen, or a performance artist acting for our amusement? You decide!

She's like Jack Thompson in drag. It's a train wreck and it's hard to look away.

Of course, Thompson also ended up permanently disbarred. We should all be so lucky if Taitz ends up meeting the same fate.

It could have been worst.

re: #2 Lidane

My thoughts exactly.

Please, Birther King, let your queen compete on The Apprentice! I would so watch.

If she ends up getting slapped with a contempt of court citation, she very well could be. It all depends on what the California Bar Association is willing to put up with. If she skips out on the hearing because of her court date in Mississippi on the 26th, though, things could get very interesting for our little queen bee.

Nirther Queen Orly Taitz in Hot Water

I wish. She's made threats against sitting judges, election officials, state government employees, and just plain folks. She's sends her flying monkey brigade on search and destroy missions against people she "thinks" may be doing bad things to her site, publishing their names, addresses and phone numbers just because that person may have the same name as her alleged hacker. She demands that every single person who has ever criticized or laughed at her be arrested and tried for treason.

Yet she still has a license to practice law. She's been sanctioned once of $20,000, and had to pay court expenses for another $4,000. So I doubt that she's in "hot" water. Lukewarm, maybe.

In case anyone wonders, "Nirther" isn't a typo - it's an ironic reference to a crazed rant posted once by Pamela Geller in which she spelled it that way in the headline of her post, and didn't correct it until people started making fun of it.

Seems like the Bill Clinton defense. Hair splitting and all that.

While you make a good point in that she hasn't been disbarred or had anything even resembling discipline come down from the California Bar Association, this is different. This isn't sanctions, this is the threat of being found in contempt of court. Depending on the type of contempt and the circumstances, that's a jailin' offense.

Obesity is on the rise-- as is the incidence of Heart Disease, Diabetes, Stroke and various forms of Cancer. A groundbreaking scientific study showed how easily (and inexpensively) the rate of occurrence of these and other serious illness could be greatly reduced-- but this information ...
