The Benghazi Narrative Spun by Fox Now in Ruins

Not to the target audience, and that's the whole point. Once anything gets placed in the right wing echo chamber by the only trustworthy tv "news" outlet, it lives forever. Truth and accuracy are totally irrelevant.

While the Benghazi "narrative as spun by FOX" may be in ruins the wingnuts have already come up with one of their own that is currently going viral.

You see instead of arming the Libyan rebels to fight against Gaddafi what we were really doing was secretly running guns and munitions directly to Al-Qaeda. This is because the President is a super secret Muslim who really, really, likes Muslim extremists killing our people and wants them to be able to do even more of it!

The story depends on which version you listen to after that...

1. Chris Stevens and Sean Smith were in on the arms shipments to Al-Qaeda but the supply shipments were stopped once they could no longer be covered up by the Libyan civil war. Stevens and Smith then became unnecessary and the President ordered his terrorist buddies to kill them to safeguard the secret.

2. Chris Stevens and Sean Smith had nothing to do with the arms shipments to Al-Qaeda but one of them somehow found out about them and then told the other. The Presidents secret terrorist supporting faction within the CIA found out that they knew and alerted the President. The President then had his terrorist buddies kill them both to keep them from blowing the whistle and exposing him as a super secret Muslim and terrorist supporter.

Seriously, check out this google search for "Benghazi gun running"...

Glenn Beck has even jumped on the bandwagon (of course), and I've been watching it spread from site to site and appear more and more often in the comments. This really is a "thing" now...there is just no limit to the amount of Derp these people will believe.

Sigh... :(

The entire Benghazi talking point is now a matter of derpdom. The public is well beyond this and understands this is a manufactured incident and a ploy to take their attention off of the coming bloody budget battle.

It baffles me how stupid they think the general populace is.
