This means what exactly? Because according to this chart the average life expectancy (74.92) in Syria is higher than that of the West Bank and Gaza. So things are hunky dory in Syria?

It dispels the notion that life in Gaza is equivalent to the former Warsaw Ghetto of WW II era Poland.

Part of the anti-Israel narrative is to compare life in Gaza to the aforementioned ghetto. It is simply not an accurate comparison. That's all.

Indeed. It's not to say that life in Gaza is great, but its people are fed adequately and are able to import what they need. Israel is not out to kill the people of Gaza, as the Nazis sought to kill Jews, Israel's security measures seek only to protect the lives of its citizens.

If they are in prison, it is a prison of their own making. All they have to do is stop trying to attack Israel and they'll find some doors opening for them.

What happened in the case of Gaza was the 6 Day War of 1967. Israel seized Gaza along with the Sinai Peninsula. When Israel and Egypt signed the Camp David Accords, Israel returned the Sinai, but Egypt decided they did not want Gaza back.

Prisoners in America can buy food, hygiene products, socks/underwear, and tv/radios. Actually, prisoners have it better because the state has to make sure they have a roof over their head, etc unlike the open air prison of Gaza.

People in Gaza have their own houses, Destro, and Israel does allow in cement and other construction materials (though it does monitor their use) as well as provide Gaza with the fuel that runs its power plant. But Israel isn't the government in Gaza anymore; Hamas is. So if people in Gaza don't have a proper home, that is not Israel's fault.

That list (food, hygiene products, socks/underwear, and tv/radios) is a far cry from your "anything they need" assertion.
And as a friend of mine mentioned to me, if Gaza is an open air prison where people live with no roof over their head, where the hell does all the aid money sent to Gaza go????????? And who, exactly is responsible for the lack of roofs - wouldn't it be Palestinian gov't? They want a state, start acting like one! 1st order of business for a state is taking care of it's "citizens", not looking the other way as some of those "citizens" procure and lob rockets at a neighbor state
