Glenn Beck predicted that a dictator will seize power in America, much as Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood have in Egypt, within five years.

I have a dream where one day people who spew this sort of nonsense will be shunned by both political parties. If the GOP were to start with Beck, it would be a big step for them on the road to being a viable and respectable player in American politics.

Right wingers should know better than to make what the SEC calls "forward looking statements" because they're gonna lose credibility one of these days.

Imagine what's gonna happen to the Republican's credibility and power structure if we get to the point where the oceans are clearly rising and we're losing beach-front property.

You mean just like how they lost credibility with their base as the party of fiscal conservativeness after thirty years of only using it as a slogan while they spent trillions we didn't have and simultaneously cut taxes? Oh right, that never happened, the mouth breathers still believe them despite past history and all the evidence to the contrary.

Your forgetting that reality and responsibility do not apply to them. Once AGW gets so bad that they can no longer pretend it doesn't exist they will simply turn around and blame the democrats for not doing anything to stop it earlier. Then accuse them of being the only ones in the pocket of the energy companies, normal DARVO tactics they use almost daily.

Their tribal base of followers will eat it up and believe every word they say just like they always do. No, I'm not kidding, not one little bit. :(

Well I would have hoped that, by now, they'd have learned that trickle down economics doesn't work. But here they just lost an election claiming that if they only lowered taxes on the billionaires a little more then unicorns would appear and shit rainbows and jobs out their asses.

Instead they're trying to call stupidity "biblical economics"

No, he wouldn't. Glenn Beck will never be happy with the party in power, because if he were he'd stop being a "freedom fighter" and would then be part of "the party establishment". And being a show host supporting the part in power is a good bit less fun, since you have to focus less on protest and more on actually getting things done.
