I can only hope that this is merely sarcasm. There is no more qualified person to run the committee than Senator Warren. She has had a distinguished career in both the public and private sector.

The Democratic Party seems to becoming less and less sheepish by the day.

Its amazing to think that in all of my 28 years this is the only time I can remember the party fighting this hard for what it is supposed to stand for. I think you would probably have to go back to some time in the early sixties to find a comparable moment in the parties history.

I mean a decade ago someone like Elizabeth Warren would have been tucked away on some irrelevant committee and given absolutely no power whatsoever. The "centrists" in the DLC wing would have made sure of it.
