Oh hell no, she's their candidate for 2016! Romney wasn't "conservative" enough.

From the article:

according to a source, anchor Megyn Kelly chuckled when she relayed to colleagues what someone had told her: “I really like Dick Morris. He’s always wrong but he makes me feel good.”

That pretty much sums up the Republican/Right/Conservative world view.

That explains a lot, actually.....

A commentator on DailyKos hit the nail on the head:

"Now we know what it takes to embarrass Fox News."

Fox News chief Roger Ailes, a canny marketer and protector of his network’s brand, has been taking steps since November to reposition Fox in the post-election media environment, freshening story lines — and in some cases, changing the characters.

He'll have a hard time getting rid of himself. Rupert will have to do it.

re: #5 jaunte

He'll have a hard time getting rid of himself. Rupert will have to do it.

He might not need to go. He should survive if he can make some decent changes. The test will be how he handles things when wingnuts scream after being told the sky is blue after Rush Limbaugh told them it was purple.

I understand they planned to only go with conservative pundits who predicted the election correctly...but the Clint Eastwood "empty chair" bit is played out.

As for Karl Rove, Alies's actions were predictable. Rove publicly accused the network's "call desk" of getting Ohio wrong and then was proven wrong himself. A mistake of that magnitude cannot be overlooked and Rove's got to have it made very clear to him that he can never do that sort of thing again.

How the IRS’s Nonprofit Division Got So Dysfunctional - ProPublica
The IRS division responsible for flagging Tea Party groups has long been an agency afterthought, beset by mismanagement, financial constraints and an unwillingness to spell out just what it expects from social welfare nonprofits, former officials and experts say. The controversy that erupted in the past week, leading to the ousting of the acting Internal Revenue Service commissioner, an investigation by the FBI, ...

Your Weekly Peggy Noonan Three Martini Column
We are in the midst of the worst Washington scandal since Watergate. The reputation of the Obama White House has, among conservatives, gone from sketchy to sinister, and, among liberals, from unsatisfying to dangerous. No one likes what they're seeing. The Justice Department assault on the Associated Press and the ugly politicization of the Internal Revenue Service have left the administration's credibility deeply, ...

4 Things We Should Remember When Arguing About Politics
Political discourse in America has reached levels of douchebaggery previously only theorized about but never observed, like conversational dark matter. We're in a whole new world of hating people based solely on their opinions on a few key issues, and since this is unexplored territory, our conversations about politics are usually only a couple notches beyond the "hold your breath until the other ...

Seems a good way to solicit ideas for touristing destinations and activities. Will have 4-5 days so some opportunity for visiting multiple sites.  Frank says:

There were 45 men in the jail cell, the toilet and shower had never been cleaned, the temperature was 110 degrees so you couldn't sleep night or day, there were roaches in the oatmeal, sadistic guards, and everything that was nice. -- Zappa 1969 interview. This had happened during the days of Studio Z in Cucamonga (1963). Frank was released on bail (his father took out a bank loan to pay for it). Frank had been busted for "conspiracy to commit pornography," after making a silly recording of suggestive sexual sounds (giggling edited out) for someone who had asked him to provide a "special" tape recording for a stag night. That someone turned out to be Detective Willis of the San Bernadino Vice Squad. Their conversation was recorded by a hidden microphone and this was used as evidence at Zappa's trial.
