Can't these fools just cover all their bases? Pray AND take em to the hospital, it's not that hard.

This is why all laws allowing parents to rely on faith healing instead of medicine should be repealed.

So people practicing their superstition resulted in a bad outcome for the victim. Who could possibly have foreseen that?

No, they can't, because that would show a lack of faith in their god. Anyway, every life belongs to god, so it's none of our business when he decides to take it away again.

If God is in charge of everyone's health care, then why isn't the miracle they're praying for that the doctors and researchers find the cure? Why does God have to waste time dealing with every individual illness, when he can do a miracle wholesale?

There is a story about a guy who drowns because during a flood he refused to leave in his neighbor's car, in a boat and finally a helicopter, because he's waiting for God to rescue him. When he gets to the Pearly Gates, he asks St. Peter why God forsook him, and St. Peter replied, "He sent you a car, a boat and a helicopter, what more do you want?"
