Ironic since Heritage Foundation invented the Tea Party hated healthcare plan we have today aka Obamacare.........

I imagine that Heritage's ancestoral linkage to Obamacare is being or has been scrubbed from the Foundation's Ministry of Truth.

Or, "Our individual mandate plan was nothing like Obamacare..."

The leader of the GOP conservative caucus leaves the Senate to take charge of the Heritage Foundation. I guess he decided that he would rather set Republican policy than actually make it.

Or maybe he just decided to get out now while his record as a "true conservative" is still intact. He won't have to compromise on any of his dogma to solve the current budget problems working at Heritage, he can just complain when others do.

Oh, and on September 2nd next year when he turns 62 he will start getting his full (average of his last year years salary) federal pension for having served at least five years in Congress. Isn't that nice for him? ;)

Armchair General DeMint reporting for duty. He's probably the biggest dick in the Senate. Glad he's gone.

But they now have networks of bots sending out tweets saying that ObamaCare is treason and communism or similar mad things.

I guess the protip is that liars for whom the present truth doesn't matter don't care about their own past either.

CNN is reporting that Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina, a favorite of Tea Party types, is quitting the Senate to head up the Heritage Foundation, a DC-based conservative “think tank”.

That could use a little tightening up:
...the Heritage Foundation, a DC-based conservative ““““““““think tank”””””””.

There you go.

The Freepers are despondent over the news or they're engaged in wishful thinking:

This is terrible news
---

He will be greatly missed.
---

Maybe he’s making inroads for a run at the White House in ‘16.

I hope so.
---

I can understand Senator DeMint's abject frustration with this body of anal orificies. But we need more people like him at the levers of power, not less.
---

Not a good sign at all.

DeMint is far smarter than the average bear. Obviously he has assessed the lay of the land and determined that if he stays in the Senate he is going to be awash in Leftist chuckleheads and GOP quislings for the rest of his natural life.
---

I am depressed, more bad news.
---

Any thoughts on Nikki Haley appointing herself?

If not how about Tim Scott.

I shall miss Jim, he was the spine of the Senate.
---

I’d say that Nikki Haley might appoint herself, but most South Carolinians probably think that at least one of the state’s senators should be a male.
---

We are losing a good conservative in the senate, but Gov. Nikki Haley will replace him with a similar person who will also vote with the Republicans.

The Heritage Foundation will preserve the lamp of liberty and freedom for a while. May God allow our wonderful USA to learn the good way of a constitutional republic sometime in the future. Your great grand children may survive to see such a land.

The lamp of liberty and freedom. Alas, the lamp is now out, I guess. What, with an ACORN-stolen election, with teh gay having equal rights and womenz allowed to be almost anything or anybody they want to be. /

Obama’s Prom Photos
On prom night, the pair double-dated. Duke University engineers have developed a novel method for producing clean hydrogen, which could prove essential to weaning society off of fossil fuels and their environmental implications. Just as importantly, a byproduct of most current methods of producing hydrogen is carbon monoxide, ...

WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to "smear the president" with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes ...

Obesity is on the rise-- as is the incidence of Heart Disease, Diabetes, Stroke and various forms of Cancer. A groundbreaking scientific study showed how easily (and inexpensively) the rate of occurrence of these and other serious illness could be greatly reduced-- but this information ...
