If Obama was really trying to destroy all the opposition, he has sure done a crappy job. He totally sucks at genocide and annihilation.

He seems to be a verbal firebomb kinda activist.

Belafonte achieved widespread attention for his political views in 2002 when he began making a series of comments about President George W. Bush, his administration and the Iraq War. During an interview with Ted Leitner for San Diego's 760 KFMB, in October 2002, Belafonte referred to a quote made by Malcolm X.[32] Belafonte said:
“ There is an old saying, in the days of slavery. There were those slaves who lived on the plantation, and there were those slaves who lived in the house. You got the privilege of living in the house if you served the master, do exactly the way the master intended to have you serve him. That gave you privilege. Colin Powell is committed to come into the house of the master, as long as he would serve the master, according to the master's purpose. And when Colin Powell dares to suggest something other than what the master wants to hear, he will be turned back out to pasture. And you don't hear much from those who live in the pasture. ”

Belafonte used the quote to characterize former United States Secretaries of State Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice, both African Americans. Powell and Rice both responded, with Powell calling the remarks "unfortunate"[33] and Rice saying: "I don't need Harry Belafonte to tell me what it means to be black."[34]

85 year old Harry Belafonte makes an unfortunate remark during an MSNBC interview

Why is it unfortunate? I fully support jailing them per our FEMA takeover plans.

Shhh! Operational security! We can't have one of our leading strategists and (very) elder statesmen going around giving away the plan.

Belafonte's a bitter old asshole, which is strange since he's led a pretty blessed life in many ways.

He's improved his negotiating skills at least.

Damn you, Destro. How many times do we have to tell you, do not talk about our FEMA takeover plans to anyone without an Obamacare decoder ring?

Your statement implies that republicans wish to negotiate in good faith. They have been about as honest and accommodating as HAMAS in negotiations ever since Obama took office.

I think Amory Blaine holds an equally contemptuous view of the GOP's behavior, and "sucks at negotiating" was a reference to Obama acting like the GOP ever did anything in good faith.

I like the fact, though, that when he finally built the FEMA death camps in South Dakota, he did so using Harry Belafonte as his hatchet man.

Criminalizing Expectant Mothers - NYT
Even by the standards of the growing Republican assault on the lives and rights of women, a new bill passed by bipartisan majorities in both houses of Tennessee's Legislature recently stands out for being meanspirited and counterproductive. If signed by the state's Republican governor, Bill Haslam, the legislation would give Tennessee the dubious distinction of being the first state to specifically authorize the ...

What Calgary police chief Rick Hanson called the "worst mass murder" in the city's history didn't end at the barrel of a gun. New York Electoral College: State Joins National Popular Vote Interstate Compact.
Ben Mathis-Lilley, Slate: New York Electoral College: State Joins National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. The bassoon is one of my favorite instruments. It has the medieval aroma -- like the days when everything used to sound like that. Some people crave baseball -- I find this unfathomable -- but I can easily understand why a person could get excited about playing a bassoon.
