Texas Gov. Rick Perry indicated Monday that he supported allowing teachers and administrators to carry concealed handguns in response to the Connecticut school massacre that left 20 children dead.

An admission that he thinks an American is going to target kids again in a mass shooting.....

But America is the greatest country in the world. How can this be the way we live? We are the greatest country in the world because we allow such unhindered firearms possession which may get kids shot by the score! But that does not make us a great country? Yes, it does because teachers are packing heat! Illogical, illogical! please explain! Illogical! Please explain. (Smoke comes out of head.)

Who would have believed that Rick Perry could make Louie Gohmert appear sane? At least Gohmert wanted the weapons to be locked up; Dumb Shit Rick wants them all loaded and out in the open. What a great idea.

I wonder if any teachers have ever gone berserk?

If all teachers are armed then they will get each other in the cross fire.

You should also point out that police officers are also prone to shoot at the wrong person in confusion.

That is, assuming they are even at the right damned address to begin with.

My first impulse when I read this headline was to comment "God, Rick Perry is the dumbest governor in America!"

Then I remembered that I made the same suggestion, sort of, the other day.

It's not dumb when I say it.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't a significant portion of police officers killed in the line of duty shot using their own weapons? How much easier would it be for someone to get a gun off a school teacher?

Yeah, no one ever steals anything from teachers at schools - to the point where dozens of teachers "carrying" could never pose a greater danger to even innocently inquisitive kids. And overworked, underpaid teachers should definitely be able to add "expert marksman" to their resume with little to no real effort at all!

Just when you think the Pro-Rape Party can't get any dumber....
