Like Mike Huckabee says, once we took God out of pizza parlors, this was inevitable.

If only more people in the pizza parlor had been armed when the shooting began, I don't actually know what the hell would have happened.

Why didn't all the 6 year old's in the restaurant rush the shooter?

The dreaded $5 "Not and Ready" Little Caeser's Pizza.

People get testy when there aren't any Hot and Ready pizzas made and waiting in the heater. I have seen people lose their patience. There should be an exclusion in Florida's SYG law for this.

This is what happens when you pass a stupid law. If he didn't think he could get away with it, he would have never done. Well done, asshole.

I don't think he's going to get away with it, there's a booking photo at the link.

The investigation at the scene indicates that the police didn't think deadly force was warranted, and that SYG would not apply to the case, even if that's what the guy invoked as an excuse.

I don't think so either but what I was saying is that because of that law, he thought he could. There in lies the tragedy.

That...

That is the crucial point.

Anyone with two firing neurons can see that Florida's SYG law encourages dangerous/lethal nonsense like this.

A duty to retreat written into the law is important to ensure that gun worshipper masturbatory fantasies remain solitary affairs, rather than being acted out on in public with other people dragged into the insane psychodrama.

ARGH!!British Ad Campaign Uses Image of Old Pregnant Woman to Scare Women Into Having Babies Younger
While pregnant teens are being shamed for making bad choices in the US, a new ad campaign in Britain is tackling the other side of the spectrum with an arresting image of a pregnant old woman. Iowa Republican Senate Primary 2014 a Free-for-All - Alexander Burns
And the Republican field is likely to keep growing: state Sen. Joni Ernst, Secretary of State Matt Schultz and Iowa GOP Chairman A.J. Spiker have expressed interest in the race. Mark Jacobs, a wealthy former oil executive who heads an education nonprofit, has also popped up at local GOP events in recent weeks and met with the National Republican Senatorial Committee. An Interplanetary GPS Using Pulsar Signals
Spacecraft could determine their position anywhere in the solar system to within five kilometres using signals from x-ray pulsars, say astronomers. Navigating in space is a tricky business. The usual method relies on Earth-based tracking stations to work out a spacecraft's distance using radio waves, a process that is accurate to within a metre or so. That's fine for the radial distance, but ...

4 Reasons ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ Is Secretly About Drugs
Nice, right? Anyway, here's my thesis: Raiders of the Lost Ark is not an action-adventure movie about an archaeologist who plays by his own rules and saves the day. Instead, the film is an exploration of Marion Ravenwood's crippling drug addiction. An addiction that was born from her unhealthy relationship and continued association with Indiana Jones. Is it true? Who cares. Can I prove ...

There Is No Such Thing Really as Professional Photographers
there's no such thing as Flickr Pro, because today, with cameras as pervasive as they are, there is no such thing really as professional photographers, when there's everything is professional photographers. Certainly there is varying levels of skills, but we didn't want to have a Flickr Pro anymore, we wanted everyone to have professional quality photos, space, and sharing." - Marissa Mayer, Yahoo ...

WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to "smear the president" with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes ...
