Obviously this is the doing of Obama's Chicago-style union thugs.

Luap Nor used to run 3%, but now he's down to being the solution for just 1% which makes me happy. That populist wave of demagogued fear is starting to recede & the wingnuts are so distracted by their own noise machine that they can't yet feel the receding waves pulling the sand out from under their feet.

Unfortunately I can't say that I share your optimism. It seems more likely to me that Ron Lawl is simply fading from the public eye because he's no longer trying to run for president. I think that his cult of personality was responsible for a not-insignificant part of the recent right-wing populism, not the other way around (I remember UC Berkeley being completely covered in Ron Paul chalk slogans back in 2007-8, long before the Tea Party was a twinkle in our retired uncles' eyes). I don't know if Dr. Lol's retirement will lead to quieter demagogues, but I'm not holding my breath at this point.

 Frank says:

Americans like to talk about (or be told about) Democracy but, when put to the test, usually find it to be an 'inconvenience.' We have opted instead for an authoritarian system disguised as a Democracy. We pay through the nose for an enormous joke-of-a-government, let it push us around, and then wonder how all those assholes got in there.
