Kobach: Only Prosecution Will Block Double-Voting
Kobach: Only Prosecution Will Block Double-Voting - KansasCity.com
Kris Kobach is a demagogue and not much else — increasing his power for a problem that’s pretty thoroughly non existent in Kansas would be a ridiculous move by the state legislature.
It’s not like the GOP isn’t going to win any office they seriously try for in the Deeply red state of Kansas, and the legislature shouldn’t waste time or tax payer dollars in their session even considering this insanity. Kobach’s a one note politician — someone waving busloads of immigrant bogeymen voting or double voting in people’s faces so they don’t notice how little else he is actually doing. He probably wants to parlay this stupidity into more appearances on Fox news.
Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach says increasing the power of his office is the best way to deter people from double-voting.
Kobach will seek authority from the 2013 Kansas Legislature to prosecute election fraud. He said it’s the last major step Kansas needs to take to effectively combat voting irregularities.
He said county prosecutors are often too overworked to take on such cases.
