Bear in mind that the Mossberg 500 is a pump action shotgun that no one is talking about banning. So we come to the point yet again that those bent on killing will find a way to kill. Far better than gun control is early detection.

Gleidman’s father is Dr Paul Gleidman, the Columbia University-educated director of radiation oncology at Beth Israel Hospital’s Brooklyn division.

Her mother is Susyn Schops Gliedman, a top New York real estate agent.

Morgan Gliedman grew up in an upscale apartment on Park Avenue.

I wonder if she protested her 1%er living conditions growing up?

But...But....the 2nd Amendment guarantees them the right to have HMTD for legitimate self-defense purposes. /

As it has been now noted that the banksters, DHS and the FBI have been involved in creating false flag operations we'll just have to wait this particular incident out.

False flag? The NYPD went over there just to talk to her about credit card theft and found all the weapons and explosives. The FBI, DHS, and 'banksters' (?) had zero to do with the arrest. Where does this false flag dream of yours come from?

I'm not buying the "they were just dallying druggies" angle, the books, the explosives, the rounds, all add up to something unhealthy about to happen. Most IRA bombers are alkies, the Taliban smokes hash and opium before they strap on the suicide vest. I don't buy that they were just what!? --, Terror hobbyists on drugs?

While the OWS connect is weak, it doesn't mean they aren't some flavor of terrorist, and I'm happy that they will likely go to jail.

From Ray Kelly via NBC:

Also found in the living room were numerous written items containing instructions on the manufacture of explosive materials and bombs, including a collection of pages that had a cover page entitled "The Terrorist Encyclopedia" and a booklet entitled "Deadly Homemade Weapons," court papers said. No political writings were discovered, and Kelly said the investigation was continuing into whether the couple had any larger plans or ties to any radical groups. They didn't show up on any watch lists.

The OWS connection isn't there for me yet until someone finds a clear link.

Nothing there proves your false flag fantasy. It was a case of the police getting lucky finding everything.

Agreed. Rich kids do get high but as far as I know they don't read this shit.

The complaint also lists a number of books and manuals said to be found in the apartment:

- The Terrorist’s Encyclopedia V. 1.02
- FM 5-25 Explosives and Demolitions
- FM 5-31 Booby Traps
- Improvised and Modified Firearms: Deadly Homemade Weapons
- A Do-It-Yourself Submachine Gun
- Street Sweeper: A Home Workshop Shotgun
- Building the M11/9: A Guide to Construction and Coercion
- FM 5-25 Explosives and Demolitions
- FM 5-31 Booby Traps

These were seized, along with what police describe as various handwritten notebooks containing formulas.

When you add weapons and explosives the silly rich kid mem goes right out the window IMO.

Their drug use doesn't exclude them from the set of "terrorist". Nor does the connection to OWS.

In the same fashion that so many at this site like to point out the dangerous crazies on the far right, this is pointing out the dangerous crazies on the far left.

They in fact have more in common with each other (far right and far left) than they do with the people closer to the center of the political spectrum.

Not just luck. The NYPD has worked hard for years to be good at counter-terrorism. Most of its terrorist takedowns are the result of good police work, not luck.

They read more like heroin addicts with some weapons who are defending their stash rather than planning revolutionary violence. Drug addicts like this get paranoid about people stealing their stash.

Apple Likely Guilty of E-Book Conspiracy, Judge Says Days Before Trial
The Department of Justice's claim that Apple led a conspiracy to raise e-book prices is on the verge of going to trial. It will be decided by a judge without the help of a jury--and that judge is already leaning toward ruling against Apple. "I believe that the government will be able to show at trial direct evidence that Apple knowingly participated in ...

Abortion Pill Cases Link Tampa Woman to Stranger in Oklahoma
Five years ago, an Air Force airman grudgingly married his pregnant girlfriend but began lacing her food with ground up abortion pills. She miscarried in her second trimester, after consuming a deviled egg. Caylinn Young, 25, of Oklahoma felt isolated in her experience until she read recently about a Lutz woman named Remee Lee, 26, who miscarried in March, reportedly under similar circumstances. ...

Rapes in Brazil Spur Class and Gender Debate
RIO DE JANEIRO -- The attacks have stunned this city. In one, an assailant held a gun to the head of a 30-year-old woman while raping her in front of passengers on a bus as the driver proceeded down a main avenue. In another, a 14-year-old girl from a hillside slum was raped on one of Rio's most famous stretches of beach. In ...

Obamacare Will Be a Debacle — for Republicans
Well, the preliminary numbers for CA are in -- and they're looking very good, with costs coming in below expectations. At this point, it looks as if this thing is indeed going to work. And think about the political dynamics. Because the Supreme Court decided to let states opt out of the Medicaid expansion, some states -- notably Texas -- will have a ...

An Interplanetary GPS Using Pulsar Signals
Spacecraft could determine their position anywhere in the solar system to within five kilometres using signals from x-ray pulsars, say astronomers. Navigating in space is a tricky business. The usual method relies on Earth-based tracking stations to work out a spacecraft's distance using radio waves, a process that is accurate to within a metre or so. That's fine for the radial distance, but ...

4 Reasons ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ Is Secretly About Drugs
Nice, right? Anyway, here's my thesis: Raiders of the Lost Ark is not an action-adventure movie about an archaeologist who plays by his own rules and saves the day. Instead, the film is an exploration of Marion Ravenwood's crippling drug addiction. An addiction that was born from her unhealthy relationship and continued association with Indiana Jones. Is it true? Who cares. Can I prove ...

There Is No Such Thing Really as Professional Photographers
there's no such thing as Flickr Pro, because today, with cameras as pervasive as they are, there is no such thing really as professional photographers, when there's everything is professional photographers. WAPO’s Glenn Kessler Gives Three “Pinocchios” To Claim of Doctored Emails
It has long been part of the Washington game for officials to discredit a news story by playing up errors in a relatively small part of it. Pfeiffer gives the impression that GOP operatives deliberately tried to "smear the president" with false, doctored e-mails. But the reporters involved have indicated they were told by their sources that these were summaries, taken from notes ...

We know how to reduce the incidence of common medical conditions but …
Obesity is on the rise-- as is the incidence of Heart Disease, Diabetes, Stroke and various forms of Cancer. And, shockingly, diseases that had in the past begun in old age are now appearing at much earlier ages. A groundbreaking scientific study showed how easily (and inexpensively) the rate of occurrence of these and other serious illness could be greatly reduced-- but this information ...
