This proves that GOP does not have a monopoly on batshittery.

So it appears.

No one said that idiocy was a partisan thing. Sheesh though. You want to say Christie’s a failure, fine but say it without coming across like an insensitive douchebag.

re: #1 Buck

Neither. This is Alouette calling out a jerk for saying something ugly, untrue, and hateful. The jerk’s party affiliation isn’t the point, that he is being a jerk is the point.

The governor’s office and leading Republicans pounced on Sweeney anyway.

And they should pounce. It’s important that people who say ugly things like that be clobbered politically. If the political damage from talking like that exceeds its political benefits then fewer people will be ugly and hateful like that.

One other major difference between Sweeney and the RWNJ douchenozzles.

Sweeney immediately apologized for the remark.

As evidenced by the congressional vote (and subsequent interviews) regarding the Sandy storm damage aid package that went thru the House of Representatives just last week - when confronted with their asshattery, the rightwingers double down, or at the very most issue a “I misspoke” non-apology.
