Honestly, I wouldn’t mind at all if General Motors decided to release an “anniversary” version of the 1953 design - with modern safety and updated features. The roadster design is one place where GM has been sorely lacking in the domestic market, and I think that it is a niche that would prove to be quite profitable for them.

Agreed. I still remember the first time I saw it rolling down Grand Ave. in Oakland, CA. The Ford T-Bird never had a chance. The 53 came with a 6 cyl engine. Enjoy what some enthusiasts did on their own: [Link: 69.89.25.185…]

Meh. If I were to spend real money on a sports car, I’d get a real one like this:

Have the teabaggers starting whining that it looks too “European”?

Nonetheless, I love it. It’s great to see GM keeping up with the times and borrowing influences from our Euro friends. Some Americans whine that the Big 3 need to borrow ideas from the West and East….well, they are doing so and yet people still complain/whine. Get over it.

I love the patriots that hate the american unions so much that they support British, German, Korean and Japanese unions. meh

re: #4 William Barnett-Lewis

Gotta agree. The Lotus is so light it does not have or need power steering.

How the IRS’s Nonprofit Division Got So Dysfunctional - ProPublica
The IRS division responsible for flagging Tea Party groups has long been an agency afterthought, beset by mismanagement, financial constraints and an unwillingness to spell out just what it expects from social welfare nonprofits, former officials and experts say. The controversy that erupted in the past week, leading to the ousting of the acting Internal Revenue Service commissioner, an investigation by the FBI, ...

Your Weekly Peggy Noonan Three Martini Column
We are in the midst of the worst Washington scandal since Watergate. The reputation of the Obama White House has, among conservatives, gone from sketchy to sinister, and, among liberals, from unsatisfying to dangerous. No one likes what they're seeing. The Justice Department assault on the Associated Press and the ugly politicization of the Internal Revenue Service have left the administration's credibility deeply, ...

4 Things We Should Remember When Arguing About Politics
Political discourse in America has reached levels of douchebaggery previously only theorized about but never observed, like conversational dark matter. We're in a whole new world of hating people based solely on their opinions on a few key issues, and since this is unexplored territory, our conversations about politics are usually only a couple notches beyond the "hold your breath until the other ...
