What I do believe in is free enterprise capitalism, and I’d like to see our healthcare system really unleash the power of free enterprise capitalism to create innovation and healthcare progress.

In the name of all that’s holy, how much longer must we endure these infantile rants about “unleashing” the “power” of free market Freedom capitalism markets?! Jeebus Christeebus. Yes, we all anxiously await the day, someday, when the Power of the Market is Unleashed and all kinds of sexy, practical Innovation pours forth to shower us with blessings. If only the gubmit hadn’t created Medicare and Medicaid back in the day. Then the promise of Freedom Healthcare would have been only about 500 years away, instead of the 550 years away it is now.

We have been there and done that. America between 1865 and 1900 was a RW “free market” paradise. Oddly enough, this period of history produced shitty enough results to have led to certain reforms, which the RW nut jobs want to eliminate.

Do they actually believe that human nature has changed, so that if we went Laissez-faire today, we would end up with better results? I thought conservatives weren’t supposed to have unrealistic views of human nature.

oh yea , so in America we have the most expensive healthcare system on the planet , costs rising 30% every 2 or 3 years , riddled with fraud and waste , all legislation regarding it PAID for by Healthcare Lobbies , and yet as quality and lifespan go , we rank about 7th in the industrialized world .
The whole argument against AHCA [Obamacare ] is fueled and paid for by greedy health care corporations , whose sole purpose for existence is profit .
And the idiots on the right lick the boots that eventually will kick them in the ass.

I guess this idiot has never read the bill or anything because the ACA subsidizes the purchase of mothereffin private healthcare company run insurance.

The blinding power of libertarian ideology is a sight to behold.
